Southern Suns basketball club is fortunate to have a dedicated and experienced club administrator to assist with member inquiries. The club’s operations are led by Jason Weidemann, our founder and General Manager.
With 30 years of coaching experience and 20 years in sports management, Jason holds tertiary qualifications in coaching, management, and administration. His expertise provides strong leadership, ensuring effective guidance and support for the club.

Committee of Management

The Southern Suns basketball club operates as a participating member club under the governance of the South East Melbourne Basketball Group, a registered not-for-profit organisation. The club is overseen by a Committee of Management (COM), supported by several subcommittees, ensuring strong governance and accountability. Our operations are guided by clearly defined policies and a shared set of values, which all members are expected to uphold.
